Central Mall and HomePro Construction Begins

It would appear the rumored Central Mall in Ubon has begun construction as there is now a very large amount of dirt work going on. Flooding has been a big problem in this area so there are plenty of trucks full of dirt lined up on the ring road lately. This would explain Sunee Mall’s speedy building project of an SF theatre which is currently being worked on day and night. Pictures here. In addition to a Central Mall, it is now confirmed that there will also be a HomePro store. The construction giant Ritta (responsible for the Mega Bang Na project IKEA is part of) already has pictures online of the project.

If you read Thai you can read about the progress here. Below is a map showing where it will be located and information from the Central Ubon page.

It is going to be a huge complex that is for sure. Such a shame it is located out of town like that. Doesn’t Ubon already have a few home pro stores?

It has a couple Home Mart stores which are mostly tools and supplies like Do Home and Home Hub. HomePro has more home decor items which is why my wife is thrilled.
