There’s a lot of construction going on around Ubon right now. The end of rainy season means a lot of roads need fixing. The city is busy putting in loads of new drainage pipe on major roads like Chayangkhun and Trakan Rd behind the aiport. Trakan Rd is completely blocked off and is being widened so that 2 cars and 2 bikes can finally fit on the road. Below are a few of the other things going on.
The Chayangkhun/Rajabhat intersection has been shut down off and on for the last week.

Behold, the future 24 hour drive thru McDonalds at the Ubon Square development.
Central Plaza Ubon September 6

Lotus Chayangkhun is getting a new store front and the entire inside is being remodeled making it difficult to find your favorite cereal. Grrrrr.

thanks for the update
I guess even more congestion in that area next trip
A motorbike is very useful right now.
Not looking forward to driving around next month for sure. As I am not Thai I am unable to fit my entire family on my motorbike.
